Movement Is a Building Block of Life.

Animotion® was born from a simple but powerful idea: when children move with purpose, they grow in ways that go far beyond the physical. Founded by Laurie McFarlane – a licensed Occupational Therapist, former nationally ranked gymnast, and proud mom of three – Animotion® blends movement science with childhood wonder.

Laurie created Animotion® because she saw a gap. Too often, children are placed into organized sports before they’ve had the chance to master the basics – agility, coordination, balance, and body awareness. Without that foundation, kids can feel frustrated or left behind, and lose their love of movement before it ever really begins.

Animotion® changes that. Through animal-inspired movements and play-based exercises, children develop the brain-body connection they need to thrive in any activity – gymnastics, soccer, baseball, hiking, or simply skipping across the backyard.

But Animotion® isn’t just about physical development. It’s about building self-confidence, improving self-esteem, and igniting a lifelong love of an active lifestyle. In just 10-15 minutes a day, children grow stronger, steadier, and more sure of themselves – one purposeful move at a time.

This is what “Play with a Purpose” looks like.
